Title: Device for Passive Rehabilitation of Knee and Hip Joints with an Arduino Microcontroller
Keywords: continuous passive motion, device for rehabilitation, knee and hip joints, passive rehabilitation

Abstract: This paper is related to the development of a low-cost device for rehabilitation of knee and hip joints. Based on the formulated requirements the main steps of the device development are described. The necessary calculations for the mechanical part of the device are presented. A number SolidWorks models are developed for different positioning angles of the construction. A hybrid stepping motor is selected to drive the device, which is controlled by an Arduino microcontroller. The practical implementation is illustrated for some typical use cases of the device. The research carried out and the results obtained can be used in the development and application of such type of devices for passive rehabilitation of knee and hip joints.
