Abstract: This paper demonstrates the potential for employing a multifaceted approach to aerial sensing and target recognition by integrating a scanning antenna array with UAV navigation purposes. Specifically, it presents a five-element antenna array, where the antenna beam is manipulated by a base element and a dephasing feeder network between others, allowing for beam scanning. The probability of minimizing the coupling factor between the ports of the individual elements of the antenna array is considered. Additionally, the integration of circular polarization in all beam states into the antenna operation is highlighted.
