Title: Inhibitory effect of ethanol extract of bilberry on aluminium alloy corrosion EN AW-2024
Keywords: aluminium alloy EN AW 2024, bilberry, corrosion inhibitor

Abstract: The inhibitory effect of ethanol extract of bilberry on the corrosion of aluminium alloy EN AW 2024 in 1M HCl was investigated using gravimetric and metallographic methods and the variation of anthocyanin absorption in the studied extract with time was monitored. By statistical processing of the data with the SPSS 25.0 product, the existence of a correlation relationship between the quantities time and the presence of inhibitor on the corrosion rate was investigated. The results showed that bilberry extract exhibited a good inhibitory effect on the corrosion of EN AW 2024 aluminum alloy in 1M hydrochloric acid and with increasing concentration of bilberry extract the inhibitory effect increased.
