Abstract: In recent years, the manufacturing industry has made many efforts to more reliably track the life cycle of products making use of special markings added during production. This marking must be long lasting and chemically neutral. In this study, marking with QR codes of different sizes and modules printed on stainless steel is analyzed using additive laser marking technology. The subject of the presented research experiments are the challenges in decoding QR codes due to the high reflectivity of the material surface.
