Title: Investigating a Technological System Through FTA Analysis

Abstract: Agricultural areas are, in most cases, remote from the power grid. When electricity is needed, generating systems built from renewable sources are built. Most often these are wind generators or photovoltaic modules. The article examines a photovoltaic system designed to power an alternating current pump for the purpose of watering agricultural land. The technological system is equipped with a battery for energy storage. The reliability of the technological system is investigated through FTA analysis. It is modeled in the environment of the software product “Top Event FTA” in order to prove the design-calculated reliability. Optimization of the technological system is proposed in order to reduce the failures of system elements.
