Title: Braking Modes Energy Utilization in DC Public Transportation Keywords: Energy efficiency; regenerative braking Abstract: An assessment was made of the possibilities for utilization of the energy stored in the moving masses in DC public transportation. It can be utilized during regenerative regimes of traction motors. The processes of braking and downhill movement of the vehicles are modelled. By integrating the extracted power, the energy recovery potential and the efficiency of a possible hybrid storage system have been evaluated. References Issue
