Title: Real-time online measurement of automotive pollution emissions Keywords: gas emissions , GNSS , GPRS , particulate matter Abstract: The vehicle pollution emissions are one of the most pressing issues of the cities. The new electric cars are still a source of pollution such as particulate matters while the gasoline and the diesel engines emit CO/HC/NOx and fine particles. The real driving emission control is sometimes very expensive and not applicable while the laboratory testing shows incorrect results e.g. 50% direct injection vehicles without gasoline particle filter fail RDE test. Therefore a smart emission measuring systems should be implemented to obtain the real-driving vehicle emissions, which is capable for real-time remote monitoring via Internet connection.
