Abstract: The article discusses a method for determining the focal length of a video camera lens using a calibration pattern in the form of a checkerboard. Methods for determining the focal length of the lens are considered. An analysis of methods for measuring the focal length of a lens (magnification method, Fabry-Yudin method, goniometric method) showed that additional optical systems must be used in these methods. A method for determining the focal length of a video camera lens is proposed. It is shown that the results obtained by the proposed method are close to the focal lengths of the camera lenses.
