Title: Development of GSM Modem for Transfer of ECG Signals in Remote Patient Monitoring

Abstract: The remote patient monitoring is more important in these days. With the development of the modern technologies the distant ECG signal monitoring is becoming more common although if the patients are elderly people they will have trouble using modern communication technologies. Also many places have no good network coverage. For these situations an ECG module communicating with audio signals is implemented using the standard telephone or GSM line for transmission of the data. For this purpose, a GSM modem is developed and tested for receiving the ECG audio data.
